Doesn’t get very hot because the sun is never very high in the sky. Doesn’t get very cold because there are several hours of daylight event in winter

Surface winds bring warms air from the south, and the warms air rises. This creates low pressure and causes depression, which brings rain throughout the year
How does the maritime location of the UK affect its climate?
UK is surrounded by water, which gains and loses heat more slowly than the land does. Cool winds blowing from the sea to the land in the summer, and warm winds blowing from the sea to the land in winter.
What is the summer and winter like in the UK?
Summer is cooler and the winter is warmer than inland locations at the same latitude
