Form of government
Unitary parliamentary constitutional monarchy.
Executive
Parliamentary. Head of government is PM, whos is alsohaed of party or coalition who governs with cabinet. Head of state is monarch.
Legislature
Bicameral parliament, lower is House of Commons 650 (renewable 5 year term), upper is House of lords 790 (mix hereditary and peers)
Judiciary
Common law. 12 member supreme court (has no veto). Judges appointed for life.
Electoral system
HOC elected through single member plurality
Parties
Multi-party, although dominated by Conservatives and labour.
Prime Minister
Leads the government and selects ministers of the government, can be dismissed by vote of no confidence by parliament, government can dissolve parliament

Cabinet
composed of PM and most important ministers (chancellors and secretaries) who are chosen by PM
Parliament
HOC and HOL, members appointed by King, 92 are hereditary from nobility, 26 lord spiritual from COE, and then ordinary peers.
HOC is key player in legislative process
