unplanned and unwanted event which disrupts the work process
define emergency
sudden unforeseen crisis usually involving danger
accidents
s. u more vulnerable due to potential reduced ability to mobilize
- poorly maintained areas can lead to accidents
e. g. fractures caused by slipping on wet floor
