Type of social influence that acting on the orders of authoritative figures. - following the law
what is compliance?
Doing a order of request for someone you don’t want to do but have to because of authoritative figures or social pressure.- being persuaded to buy something from a sales person.
Whats the difference between compliance and obedience?
Compliance is conforming to a request whilst obedience is willingly following rules.
What is conscious obedience?
A individual who is actively obeying instructions or rules, by making deliberate choices.
What is unconscious obedience?
Individual that follows the rules unconsciously because it is apart of a routine. Not deliberately.
What is blind obedience?
Individual who does as they are told without reflection against rules.They ignore consequences of their actions.
What is whistle blowing?
A member of a department reporting concerns of incorrect procedure or illegal activities in the workplace.
What is the procedure for whistle blowing?
1) Discuss with line manager
2)The complaint is confidential
3)The complaint has to be genuine.
