What is a solution?
A solution is a homogeneous mixture of one or more solutes dissolved in a solvent. Size of particles are very small, particles cannot be seen by the naked eye, particles are stable, particles cannot be separation by filtration.
What is a suspension?
A heterogenous mixture where a solid particle does not dissolve in liquid , size of particles are large, particles can be seen by the naked eye, particles are not stable, particles can be separation by filtration.
What is a colloid?
A heterogenous mixture where the solute particles are bigger than those in a solution but smaller than in a suspension, size of particles is medium, individual particles are too small to be seen by the naked eye, particles are stable, particles cannot be separated by filtration.
