Primary data.

What is primary data?
A
Info that is observed / collected direct from first hand experience.

What is secondary data?
A
Info that was collected for a purpose other than the current study.

What is quantitative data?
A
Refers to numerical data e.g. counting the number of times a particular behaviour occurs measuring someones reaction time in seconds.

What is qualitative data?
A
Non - numerical data e.g. data expressed in words such as how someone thinks or feels about something.
Likely to be produced when the researcher has used open questions in interviews.
