A
A change in behaviours of beliefs as a result of real or imagined pressure/influence from others

A
In public the views of the majority are accepted, in private the original views are still held

Why do people comply?
A
To gain approval or to fit in with others

What is identification?
A
We conform to the values of a group because we value something about them

Why do people identify?
A
They identify with the group so they want to be a part of it, they agree publically but not privately

A
Public and private change of behaviour

Why do people internalise?
A
They analyse the groups choices and agree with them and permenantly change behavior
