Type I Pump Governor Flashcards
at what psi is the high idle feature disabled?
if there is >10psi at the pump transducer
If discharge pressure drops below 30psi for any reason, what will happen
The engine speed will not increase and “intake” will flash
when operating the “INC” switch, and operating above 90psi, what is the maximum amount of pressure increase that the computer will continuously allow?
it won’t allow anything greater than 80psi additional to be added until finger is taken off the increase button
how does the governor maintain pump pressure?
by controlling engine RPM in response to a signal from the pressure transducer mounted to the pump
If pressure above 30psi is not regained within 5 seconds, what will happen
Engine will go to idle and “losupply” will flash
in general, what does “operator” mean anytime it flashes on the screen?
in general, it flashes anytime the governor can’t achieve a desired pressure
RPM MODE
If pressure increases >50psi from last logged pressure, what pressure will the governor limit the increase
No more than a 50psi differential
at what pressure will the governor begin to control pressure
once pump pressure exceeds 70psi
If pressure increases above 30psi, what happens
“operator” will flash and pressure wont increase until “inc” is pressed
