A

Occurs when certain variables are measured (IQ). These variables are distributed so that most of the scores are clustered around the mean, median and mode.

Q

Skewed Distribution

A

The mean, median and mode do not share the same value.

Positive skew - most scores are bunched to the left of the mean because the mean is dragged to the right by extreme scores tailing in positive direction.

Negative skew - Most scores are bunched to the right and some tail off in a negative direction.
