what is the COMPETITIVE market? (Two C’s of marketing)
-businesses that compete with each other for the consumer dollar
-consists of ALL the sellers of a specific product.
What’s the formula for a Market share?
revenue of one company ÷ total revenue of the market = market share
What is a Market Segment?
a part of the overall market that has similar characteristic (eg; soda drink has a diet segment such as diet coke)
What is INDIRECT competition?
products or services competing for your money that are not directly related to each other.
what is DIRECT competition?
same product different brand competing for your dollar (eg coke or pepsi)

-convince consumer to purchase
-use techniques such as;

Through repition and media advertising

-getting famous people to promote your product
what is the advertising technique of ORDINARY PEOPLE TESTIMONIALS?
-getting some random at a mall to promote your product
what is the advertising technique of REPETITVE?
-repeats the name of the product ten or twenty times during a one minute commercial.
