How should you frame a consultation?
A
- “How can i help”
- “Tell me more about this”
- “Any other symptoms related to this that you are worried about”
- ICE - “do you have any ideas what it could be”, “do you have any other concerns”, “what were you hoping to get from today?”
- Adress red flags if they are appropriate to do so and ask more focussed questions now.
- Examinations
- Management plan

A
- When do you get short of breath
- How long has it been going on for
- Does anything make it worse
- Doies anything make it better
- Exercise tolerance?
- Heart failure (worse when lying down) and MI (radiating pain, nausea vomiting ), chest infection (fever, productive cough,wheeze)
