We have already learned the formal (ust, ustds) forms of commands. Is the form for familiar (tu) commands the same?
No, it is not. The forms between formal and informal commands is different. The main difference is that tu command forms have one form for the affirmative command and another for the negative.
There is also no plural form of a “tu” command, so just use the formal.
How do you form a regular affirmative tu command?
Use the 3rd person singular (el/ella/ust) present tense of the verb. \_\_\_ tomar - toma beber - bebe escribir - escribe
How do you form a regular negative tu command?
Take the affirmative tu command and replace the final vowel with "es" for -ar verbs and with "as" for -er/-ir verbs. \_\_\_ hablar - no hables bebir - no bebas escribir - no escribas
