An anomaly is encountered in which the AO cannot telll if the issue if with the shelter or the AV. What actions should be taken?

A

If able, hand over to another shelter and see if the problem persists. If it does then the issue is most likely the AV. If it does not the it is likely the shelter.

What are the indications of and AV-ACE recycle while in flight and what actions should be taken to re-establish link? Dual AC recycle?

A

Sudden down link loss and orange reports. Attempt to reestablish link with transmitters on using both flight and ground frequencies, encrypted and decrypted. If 2 shelters are available, ensure one shelter is on ground frequencies and one shelter is on flight frequencies when trying to reestablish link.

PIU on 05:xx:10; Discrete 4 on 5:xx:18; Discrete 3 on 05:xx:22; Descrete 2 on 05:xx:24

After how many days continuous operation does the ACE need to be recycled? WHY??

A

Every three days. The is per SV-OP-1706. The ground ACEs will automatically recycle after several days of continuous use. We recycle every three days to add a buffer.
