Answer 1

500ft between unmanned, 1,500ft between manned, but can be lowered to 1,000ft by controlling agency.

OCONUS: What is the lowest a fixed wing aircraft can fly outside of tower’s airspace? What is that altitude called?

4,000’ AGL; Coordinating altitude.

Question 3

OCONUS: When do we switch altimeter setting to 29.92?

Answer 3

Change altimeter setting to 29.92 after departing Tower controlled airspace or released from the local controller and upon return. Outside of local airspace utilized the Regional Pressure Setting available from controlling agency (kingpin). In the absence of and RPS 29.92 standard pressure will be used. (REF AFG AIP)
