Trim And YSAS Malfunction Flashcards

1
Q

What is one possible way of relieving stick pressure near approach speeds with a trim malfunction?

A

Use of the takeoff trim may provide some reduced stick forces because the takeoff trim system is independent

Q

General corrective (checklist) actions for a trim malfunction?

A
  1. Trim Button - Hold in opposite direction
  2. Trim Control circuit breaker - Pull (FCP Pedestal)

Generally, attempt to trim against the runaway trim. If this is assisting with the condition, find a good neutral position and pull the CB. If it is not helping, attempt the takeoff trim button. If nothing is working, pull the CB.
