It has craters from shells that didn’t hit the objective

Up to 15 lines where placed in front of trenches to stop the enemy from crossing over giving time to shoot then down

Harder to capture and for artillery to hit

They where used to spy on the enemy to anticipate attacks
German VS British trenches
German trenches where well built and structured while British trenches where basically holes in the ground
This is because British trenches where temporary while German trenches where permanent
