5 lobes tall one in middle, slimmer two on side two small lobes pointing off horizontally/downward from petiole more slender and longer than wide palmately veined back is paler and has the silver component enough pointed to be almost toothed very edgy and less soft/rounded

ash-leaf maple compound leaf/pinnately leaflets oppositely arranged each leaflet is pinnately veined teardrop shaped leaves comes to long point at the tip slightly toothed/ridged up the sides wide at base and narrow at top
