This is where, under the treaty, Germany and Austria were forbidden to join or trade etc

They hated it. Especially the people of Germany as they thought that their leaders had ‘stabbed them in the back.
Were Germany invited to the Paris peace conference?
No they were not invited or allowed to come and discuss THEIR terms of punishment. The only time they went was to sign the treaty
