Community, spirituality, self-acceptance, honesty, examination of values, willingness to make amends, compassion toward others, and action in the service of others.
What are the principles of effective treatment?
Addiction is treatable (even with relapse).
No single treatment is appropriate for everyone.
Treatment must be readily available.
Treatment must address multiple needs (medical, social, job, legal).
