Behavioral activation is in the family of cognitive therapy. What is its focus? Tools?
Therapy: Focus on doing what in the past, provided meaning and value and pleasure. Negative thoughts and feelings are not viewed as barriers.
Tools: New relationship with thoughts and feelings, focus on activities.
What are some important key points to address in the behavioral activation treatment model?
- Behavioral activation (BA) is based on the idea that the events in your life and how you respond to such events influence how you feel.
- When life is less rewarding or stressful, people sometimes pull away from the world around them and find that basic routines in their lives become disrupted.
What is integrative behavioral couples therapy?
Therapy: Focus on changing ones relationship with conflict and difference
