Transcripts Application Flashcards
Annotating Transcripts
Can add: 1) Notes 2) Designations 3) Exhibits 4) URLs
Transcripts Layout
- Annotations logged in Transcripts layout and are called out by page and line numbers
- Clicking on an Exhibit hyperlink opens the document in the Viewer
- Clicking on the Note hyperlink sends you to the Notes object (newest object created listed first)
Adding Notes
- Select text and right click
- Select “Add Note”
- Type your note
- Click “Save”
Can edit, delete, or comment on the note (so can other users)
Can expand or collapse all the notes in a page at once by clicking the expand/collapse notes icon at the top of the Transcripts viewer
Adding Designations
- Select Text and right-click
- Select “Add Designation”
- Click “+” to add a Designation Type or choose an existing; these are alphabetized
- A bracket appears in the margins; can change the color of the bracket for all designations of that type by right-clicking and selecting the drop-down arrow under “Change Designation”
Can add designations over existing designation types; brackets appear in the order designations were created with inner bracket being the first
Uploading Designations
CSV File with:
- Transcript name
- Page From
- Line From
- Page To
- Line To
- Designation
To upload, go to Designations tab and click “Upload Designations”; drag and drop or browse for file; verify that Rel has auto-mapped columns correctly and click “upload”
Linking to Exhibits
- Select text and right-click
- Hover over “Link Exhibit”
- Select one of the following:
- Link This Occurrence (only selected text)
- Link All Occurrences (all occurrences of selected text) - A pop-up appears for you to select the document you would like to link and click “Set”
Can also link exhibits on the Transcripts layout without directly linking to a line in the transcript
Working with Case Dynamics
Can create and link Case Dynamics items when viewing transcripts; items are highlighted with the appropriate color
Word Index
Word Index lists out all the different terms that are found in the transcript
- Click the bookmark page icon in the bottom right corner of the viewer
- can search for a phrase that has up to 5 words
- hover over hyperlink and pop-up appears that shows you the section of the transcript where the term appears
- can add up to 3 additional lines above and below where term is located by using the tool tip (settings icon); default above and below is 2
fields: [Word / Count (how many times in transcript) / Locations]
Annotations Digest Report
PDF with selected annotations that contains:
- Case Name
- Transcript Name
- Type of annotation with total number of annotations selected
- Individual representations of each annotation with corresponding page and line numbers
- Case Dynamics items
- Time and date of digest generation
To Run Fill out:
- Include All Annotations
- Include Entire Question and Answer
- Additional lines above and below
Key Terms Report
PDF with chosen key terms that contains:
- Case Name
- Transcript Name
- List of key terms
- Individual representations of each key term with corresponding page and line numbers, including the additional lines above and below the term
- Time and date of digest creation
Fields:
- Include Entire Question and Answere
- Additional Lines above and below (up to 10)
- Key terms, each term on a separate line
