encodes ideas by organizing them into spoken language & sends message through channels to receivers

What does the receivers do?
receive message and decode it by interpreting words, then becomes sender by encoding and giving feedback
What happens to senders when they receive feedback
they become receivers bc. they receive feedback as they give a speech and encode it
What are noise?
interference w/ effective transmission or reception of message

What is internal noise?
mental disturbance (fear, tired)
What is external noise
outside environment distraction (loud noise, voices, room)
What is communication competence?
communication w/ others that’s perceived to be effective & appropriate in given context
