What is Transactional Analysis?
TA is a model for understanding human personality, relationships and communication.
Who first developed TA?
Eric Berne, bringing it to prominence through his book ‘Games People Play’.

What are discounting and redefining?
Selectively ignoring information about our situation that contradict our life story. This is called redefining.
What is symbiosis?
Two people using three ego-state between them instead of three each (six).
What is a Racket?
Rackets are substitute feelings that replace authentic feelings that we are forbidden to express within our families.
What are stamps?
Stamps are racket feelings that are stored instead of expresses, and then expressed in an extreme way.
What are games?
Games are a repetitive sequence of transactions in which both parties experience racket feelings. It always includes a switch.
What is Autonomy?
Our full potential of awareness, spontaneity and capacity for intimacy.
What does it mean in TA when we say people are ok?
Everyone has worth, value & dignit y as people. I accept myself as me and you accept yourself as you.
