A

Confirm they’ve watched the guided lessons (must be done before the T2 - send the link), set a time/date for the T2, confirm when they can do the SLs.

A

How do you prepare for the T2?

A

Spend 30 mins looking at the Lafayette, matric certificate, subject test (note weaknesses), P2 (note weaknesses), prepare homewok - make a list of sections that they should study again then make a list of the potential SL slots for the trainee

What are the steps in the T2 meeting?

A
  1. Introduction/Ice breaker
  2. Video lesson feedback
  3. Feedback on policy test.
  4. Roleplay of the first lesson - run through the whole situation - intros, goal setting and expectations (20 minute)
  5. Roleplay feedback (fill in gaps of things they missed)
  6. Roleplay - not first lesson (20 minutes)
  7. Roleplay feedback (same as before)
  8. Book discussion
  9. Listening exercise (ask them to explain the rules and do the SSC exercise)
  10. Confirm the SL and SLD dates x 2 (agree on 2 of the SL options if not, find more and settle on times in 12 mins)

  • Ask eg what did you notice about Tawanda’s lesson with Ryan?
  • 1-10 score on Eli’s lesson? Why?
  • What went wrong/ in Dayna’s lesson?

  • 6QD (let them go through it)
    Praise and redirection (highlight booboos and use the 1 min reprimand + hype them for something
  • SSC (things they should stop, start and continue) with reflection (make sure they commit to this stuff
  • Roleplay (practice their commitments)
  • Solicit feedback (how good are you as a trainer, any improvements)
  • Assign homework (things they should revise from the manual)

What is the letter of motivation and when is it sent?

A

A letter of motivation for the trainee after SLD 2 sent to MD before the induction and completion process

A

describe the trainee’s personality, positives, negatives, problems, training they need, recommendation and rate them

A
