The following is a way to clear the combustion chamber for a flooded rotary saw.
- Ensure the Choke is pushed in and the half throttle is engaged. This allows the maximum amount of air to flow through the carburetor, combustion chamber and out the exhaust.
- Pull starting cord and cycle the saw quickly about 4-5 times. As the air to fuel mixture in the combustion chamber lowers it will start.
This is the blade position of choice for forcible entry because it permits making flush cuts close to walls and floors.
