signing and staffing
the main problem is making sure there is enough operating for the attendees
what are the 2 different types of car parking management ?
Self Regulated – minimal staff required but less efficient so more space required and problems if everyone arrives or leaves at the same time
Controlled – Much more efficient but requires large number of staff at entry and exit times

what is required for car parks for an event in order to be safe?
Parking areas need to be lit in the dark
Larger areas should be divided into smaller units with identifying signage, so that people can locate their vehicle later
Barriers, signage and queuing systems can all be used effectively to keep people safe, along with an adequate number of marshals - at drop off and pick up points as at the end of the event these areas become very busy so need to be monitored.
ensure surfaces and entrances are practical for those entering the car park facilities
what should you consider if there is bad weather?
practical routes or alternative routes
what should you do to monitor pedestrian routes?
people moving signs and crowd barriers. Have a system in place to check misuse of signage and anything that needs repairing
