Other types of insurance
Bodily Injury
This coverage is optional. It provides payment for injuries or damages if you are the cause of a motor vehicle crash involving your automobile. Many other states require it, but Florida does not.
Uninsured Motorist
This coverage is optional. This insurance covers injuries to you and your passengers in a crash that is caused by another driver who does not have insurance, or a “hit-and-run” driver. Normally, this coverage only protects you against injuries. It does not usually cover property damage.
Collision
This coverage is optional. This covers repairs to your vehicle when no other person is at fault. Typically, there is a deductible.
Comprehensive
This coverage is optional. This insurance covers repairs to your vehicle caused by something other than a crash, and examples include theft, vandalism, or fire.
kids
1) An infant less than 20 pounds or less than a year old should be placed in a rear-facing seat that is secured to the vehicle by the seat belts.
2) A toddler between 20 and 40 pounds who is at least a year old should be placed in a forward-facing child seat that is secured to the vehicle by the seat belts.
3) Children more than 40 pounds should be placed in booster seats and also restrained by both a lap and shoulder belt. Note that the shoulder belt is not required if the seat has a front shield.
4) Regular adult seat belts are used if the child can wear them comfortably. The lap belt should fit low on the hips and the shoulder belt should fit across the shoulder. Also, the child’s legs should be long enough to bend over the seat front while his back is resting against the seat back.
