Didn’t vote for Chamberlain who ran on a platform of tariff reform. Had to form the tariff reform league and set up imperial preference to try and encourage trade within the Empire.

A

Headed the Colonial Conferences but failed to federalise the Dominions. Set up many schemes in Africa such as the Ugandan Railway and Aswan dam.
