Preparation docket. Must be placed on the open or up end of the cab. Then notify the DAO.

Critical faults must be reported immediately to Train control
What is the difference between a post maintenance and mainline prep?
Mainline preps are carried out on the both end driver cabs. Post maintenance is done on all 4 driver cabs.
When prepping, what does a yellow flag indicate?
A cleaner is on board. This does not stop you from prepping. Yellow flag must be moved to the lower flag holder or on the ground.
Inform the cleaner of the dock time and release the saloon doors so they can exit the train.
Who must you contact if the cleaner is not on board but the yellow flag is still present?

What indicators stop us from prepping our train?
Banners, red flag and danger men at work label (tags)

Where must you start your prep?
You must always start your prep from the motor car in which the train is to be driven in
What is the full cab unattended procedure?
Assisting passengers with special needs past the rear of the first saloon doors
Fault finding
Any other duty that requires the driver to leave the vicinity of the leading cab
What is the vicinity defined as?
3m and the rear of the first saloon door
What is the full cab unattended procedure?
Advise passengers of the delay via PA (not needed for changing ends)
Secure the train from unauthorised movement
Exit the secure the cab from unauthorised entry
Perform the necessary duties
Return to cab
