Where can you find notices related to Track work and speed reductions?
Circulars will be posted are depots or on Paperlite.
Weekly Operation Notices are distributed every Tuesday via the Paperlite Application.
What do you do if you see a yellow hand signal? 🟨
Yellow flag (Day) | Yellow light (Night)
This indicates warning. Displayed by the Outer Hand Signaller. As a driver you must:
- Reduce speed
- Sound a long whistle
- Press M.A.D button (Memory Aid)
- Look out for the inner hand signaller and expect the next hand signal to be at STOP
What do you do if you see a red hand signal? 🟥
Red flag (Day) | Red light (Night)
This indicates STOP. Displayed by the inner Hand Signaller. As a driver you must:
- STOP your train prior to the red hand signal.
What do you do if you see a green hand signal? 🟩
Green flag (Day) | Green light (Night)
This indicates PROCEED. Displayed by the inner Hand Signaller. As a driver you may:
- Resume running at normal track speed or the speed of the last signal aspect, whichever is applicable
What do you do if you see a green hand signal waved slowly? 🟩👋
Green flag waved (Day) | Green light waved (Night)
This indicates Caution. Displayed by the inner Hand Signaller. As a driver you must:
- Proceed at a slower speed (Max 25km/hr)
The hand signaller may STOP the driver with RED and inform them of the required speed before waving GREEN.
The driver must then do the required speed until they observe a steady Green hand signal
