Kenya case study

A

Mountains, grassy planes, sandy beaches (Mombasa), coral reefs, and lots of wildlife - 50 national parks and reserves

Tourism revenue is important to the economy as it provides jobs and Mooney to repay foreign debt and improve local services and infrastructure

On the coats, beaches ares developed for resorts, denying the local people access, while hotels pollute the reefs with sewage and use up water supplies.

In the parks, the nomadic people (Massai), are denied access. Their culture is being lost and soil erosion and harassment is a serious problem due to minibuses going off road
