What is a sponsors responsibility?
- Initiate and complete DA Form 5434
- Help a custom solider to new environment
- Onboard soldiers into the unit
When must a sponsor get assigned?
No later than 120 days before the reporting date
What is the sponsored soldier’s responsibility?
- Fill out DA Form 5434
- Acknowledge and respond to sponsor
- Inform chain of command if no sponsor is assigned
- Receive outbound sponsorship brief

Tier 3
After arriving to their new duty station. What must tier 1 & 2 soldier do?
Attend new comers brief and complete in-processing survey on ACT

AIT and officer basic course graduates
Who does tier 2 consist of?
Soldiers, NCO’s, warrant officers and officers.

2LT to captains
Warrant officer 1 to chief warrant two
Who does tier three consist of?
Sergeants first class to sergeants major
Majors to colonels
And chief warrant three to chief warrant five
