Food chain is a sequence that represents the way in which energy is transferred from one organism to another in a community.

These are different diagrams that show the way in which different organisms in a community depend on each other for food. A food web is made of many interconnecting food chains.

The relative number of each type of living organisms in a food chain

These shows the dry mass of living material at each level in a food chain
Biomass changes at different times of the year- different shapes at different times of the year
