define aggression

how does aggression affect sport performance?
most people view aggression as a negative characteristic however some people think it can enhance performance
what is hostile aggression?
-inflicting harm whether it is physical or psychological on someone else.
-It is also referred to as reactive aggression and can be accompanied by anger

-can happen because of a loss of concentration
what is instrumental aggression?
displaying aggressive behaviour in the pursuit of a non aggressive goal,sometimes referred to as channeled aggression

what is relational aggression?
-involves the use of spreading negative rumours or excluding someone socially
-can cause harm as it leads to feelings of rejection
