How are Acronyms used in APA
Terms that have acronyms, such as Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) are spelled out in full the first time they are used in the text, and include the acronym in brackets immediately afterwards;
Thereafter, simply use the acronym.
Normally, you only include an acronym if it will be mentioned at least a few times subsequently in the text.
What is the verb tenses used in APA
For a study you have already conducted, use the past tense
What is an Abstract?
-Summary of the entire paper
-Although the abstract is provided on page 2, you will want to wait until the end of the research paper to write it (so that you have all of the necessary information). The abstract will be between 150-250 words, and will contain the following:
-A statement about the research problem/question/purpose.
-A brief description of the subjects (total number and general characteristics)
A brief description of the methodology (experimental, survey, etc.)
-A report of the results (main findings).
-A statement about the main conclusions and/or implications.
What is included in the title page?
The paper title, author names, author affiliation (institution), course number and name for which the paper is being submitted, instructor name, assignment due date, and page number
What is included in the Methods?
Method as a heading centred and bolded
Second level headings for:
Participants
Procedures
Materials
What consist of the “References”?
References centered and bolded.
All of the publications cited in the paper should be provided here, and none that are not references in the actual paper.
References are listed alphabetically by the last name of the first author, with one-author entries coming before multiple-author entries with the same last name. If references have the same author names, then the publications are listed in order of year of publication, from oldest to most recent.

What is the proper format for a long direct quote in APA style?
Indented as a separate paragraph, without quotation marks, with the page number at the end of the quote in parentheses.
What is the difference between a nonexperimental research strategy and a quasi-experimental research strategy?
A quasi-experimental research strategy attempts to limit threats to internal validity and produce cause-and-effect conclusions, while a nonexperimental research strategy simply demonstrates a relationship between variables without trying to explain it
