Cut off 5mm of root tip using scissors
Put root tip in HCL and put in a water bath at 60C for 5 mins
Put the root tips in a watch glass with 5cm of cold water and leave for 4-5mins
Dry them on filter paper
Transfer to slide and rbeak up with mounted needle
Add ethano-orcein and leave to stain for 2 mins
Cover with coverlip and blot firmly with filter paper
View under microscope
