Beetroot - IV, DV and CV
IV - temp of water
DV - Absorbance
CV - volume of water, size of beetroot, type, time in water
Beetroot method
Wash beetroot and cut into 1cm length and leave a night
Blot
Place in boiling tube and place in water bath
Leave for 10mins
Measure absorbance with colorimeter
Repeat 5 times per temp
Enzyme IV,CV,DV
IV - conc of enzyme
DV - time taken for enzyme to break down substrate
CV - temp, volume of enzyme, of substrate, conc of substrate, pH
Enzyme method
Make conc of protease solution (0-0.5)
Pipette 2cm of protein solution into cuvette
Measure absorbance of control
Measure out 2cm off protease solution into cuvette and immediately put in colorimeter
Measure absorbance every 30sec for 5mins
