Q

explain differing religious views to roles of men and women within family

A
  1. catholics -> look to Eph 5 to show that women subject to head of household which is a man, should make major decisions -> husbands should love their wives though, women, like mary, should be maternal figure and man should be breadwinner -> not wrong for women to work though
  2. cofe -> move with times, accpet that equality between men and women in law means that roles in family have changed, and accept role reversal if that suits family eg mother has higher paid job so father looks after children etc
  3. quakers -> whatever suits the man and woman according to conscience and circumstance
