Q

What are non religious attitudes to ultimate reality?

A
  1. No god given purpose or meaning = no God (no empirical evidence) (humanist pov, don’t believe in ultimate reality -> only human experiences)
  2. Richard Dawkins = human beings product of evolution + natural selection -> we aren’t special , ultimate reality = science (purpose = reproduce + survive as we are animals)
  3. Come about by accident via evolution and have no special place in world, no ultimate reality
  4. No spiritual realm - only what can be seen by science (particles) - but empirical evidence can be flawed and perhaps there is more to universe than just physical
