What four Factors affect a Balanced Lifestyle?
Diet, Exercise, Rest and Work.
What is the definition of Diet?
The food we eat.
What is the definition of Exercise?
Any form of Physical activity.
What is the definition of Rest?
Time when we are not at work/exercising.
What is the definition of Work?
Some jobs are more physically active than others.
What are the seven factors of a balanced diet?
Carbohydrates, Fats, Protein, Minerals, Vitamins, Fibre and Water.
What are the three Macro nutrients and what does Macro mean?
Carbohydrates, Fats and Protein, It means large.
What are the two Micro Nutrients and what does Micro mean?
Minerals and Vitamins. It means Small.
What are the 2 discretion factors?
Fibre and Water.
What is energy balance?
When energy consumed is equal to the amount of energy expended.
If energy in doesn’t equal energy out, what are the fives things that people could be?
Underweight, Anorexic, Overfat, Overweight and Obese.
What is Optimum Weight?
A person’s most favourable weight.
What are the five factors that affect a persons optimum weight?
Height, Gender, Bone Structure, Muscle Girth and Genetics.
What are the 3 Somatotypes?
Ectomorph, Endomorph and Mesomorph.
What is an ectomorph?
Lean body shape, lean shoulders and hips. Ideal for a long-distance runner.
