Told Task 1010 Flashcards
When does TOLD need to be re-computed?
Re-compute TOLD card data if conditions increase by: 1,000 feet pressure altitude (PA),
10 degrees Celsius(C)
500 pounds gross weight (GWT)
Who is responsible for ensuring the aircraft limitations and capabilities are not exceeded?
The PC
What conditions should be used for computing TOLD data?
The EXISTING CONDITIONS
What is the Acronym REARA
Runup Enroute Approach Reserve Alternate if req.
What 5 things comprise the Takeoff Weight Limit?
Maximum Take-off Weight to Achieve Take-off Climb Requirements
Maximum Take-off Weight as Limited by Tire Speed
Maximum Take-off Weight as Limited by Brake Energy
Take-off Field Length
Maximum Landing Weight to Achieve
Define V1
Take-off Decision Speed
Define Vr
Rotation Speed. The speed at which the aircraft’s nose wheel leaves the ground.
Define V2
Takeoff safety speed is the speed at 35 feel AGL, assuming and engine failure at V1.
Define V35
Take-off Safety Speed at 35 feet AGL with both engines operating.
Define TOFL
Accelerate - Go
Accelerate - Stop
V35 + 15%
What is the First Segment Climb
The First Segment Climb extends from Reference Zero to the point where the landing gear completes the retraction cycle. The airspeed is accelerating to V2. This is a high drag segment.
What is the Second Segment Climb
The Second Segment Climb begins at the end of the First Segment and extends to 400 feet above the runway. The airspeed during the Second Segment is V2.
What is the minimum Climb gradient required for IMC departures?
3.3% or greater for departures with other than standard takeoff/departure procedures.
What is Reference Zero?
Reference zero is the point where the airplane has reached 35 feet above the runway as determined
from the Take-off Length graphs.
Define accelerate Go
The distance to accelerate and recognize an engine failure at V1, accelerate to and rotate at VR, then
climb and accelerate in order to achieve V2 at 35 feet above the runway.
