Giving plstic gift tokens in EXHANGE for rewards.
E.g. making beds/tidying in return for rewards like FOOD.

After spending long time in psych hospitals, it’s common to have BAD hygiene.
Token economies IMPROVE the QUALITY of their life in hospital to PREPARE them for normal life outside.
What are tokens also called?
SECONDARY reinforces, later exhanged for PRIMARY reinforces e.g. sweets.
How can the effect of token economy be strengthened?
strengthened by PAIRING secondary and primary reindoeces together at the START and pairing with MULTIPLE primary reinforces.
Does token economy cure sz?
NO, just IMPROVES their quality of life and makes it MORE likely patients can live outside of hospital.
