John Keats who had a short life of 25 years. he published 54 poems + 3 novels as well as a few magazines using a wide range of poetic forms including odes + sonnets
He is an English Romantic poet who devoted his life to the perfection of poetry marked by vivid imagery

What does the poem mean? why did Keats write the poem?

‘To Autumn’ and ‘Ode’ means that it is dedicated to autumn. He wrote it to celebrate the season and the various changes which take place during the time

autumn + covers the three stages of the season
-beginning when fruit/plants are ready to harvest
-middle when animals go into hibernation + things begun to die
-end as winter begins
