What is an orchestra
A large instrumental ensemble typical of classical music, which mixes instruments from different families, including bowed instruments such as violin, cello, and double bass, as well as brass, woodwinds, and percussion instruments, each grouped in sections
What does instrumentation refer to
The voice(s), instrument(s) or combination of the two that create a piece of music
What is timbre
The quality of a note or sound that distinguishes different types of sound production, such as voices and musical instruments, string instruments, wind instruments (woodwind and brass), and percussion instruments. It also gives us an indication of the nature of the sound

What are chordophones
Instruments where sound is produced by the vibration of strings or strings that are stretched between fixed points. All stringed instruments
What are aerophones
Instruments where sound is produced by vibrating air. All brass and woodwind instruments
What are idiophones
Instruments where sound is produced by the actual body of the instrument vibrating rather than a string or a column of air. All percussion instruments except drums
What are membranophones
Instruments where sound is produced by the way of a vibrating stretched membrane. All drums

Double basses and cellos In the front on the right.
Violas In the front in the middle
2nd violins and 1st violins in the front on the left
Trumpets and bassoons at the back on the right
Clarinets, timpani’s and oboes at the back in the middle
Flutes and horns at the back on the left
