“See that you do not destroy my world, for if you do, there will be no on else to repair it” ~ Genisis.

How does commitment to tikkun olam bring adherents closer to god?
A
Through repairing the world, it is a belief that you are assisting god in bringing his works to fulfillment, and thus it is through environmental teachings such as this that adherents strive for partnership with god.
- Exemplified by Ecc 2:16 “The man who pleases him, God will grant him wisdom and happiness”.

How does commitment to tikkun olam take form?
A
Volunteering in the community.
This correlates with “doing deeds of kindness” (gemilut chassidim).
Example of group and intiative. Jewish national fund to plant more trees.
