What is 6.1 in the Conditions of Travel policy?

A

6.1:
You must have a valid ticket before you board a train or you may be subject to a penalty fare

Unless:

  • no ticket buying facilities at the station
  • you have authorisation to board a train by a member of staff (written/verbal)
  • ticket office is closed
  • self-service ticket machine is not in working order or will not accept your preferred method of payment (get a Promise to Pay)
  • you have a disability and ticket purchasing arrangements are not accessible to you
