difference between thyrotoxicosis and hyperthyroidism
A
Hyperthyroidism is characterised by increased thyroid hormone synthesis and secretion from the thyroid gland, whereas thyrotoxicosis refers to the clinical syndrome of excess circulating thyroid hormones

Experiencing unexplained weight loss
Having an irregular heartbeat (arrhythmia)
Having a rapid heartbeat (tachycardia) — usually a heart rate higher than 100 beats per minute
Experiencing muscle weakness

Feeling nervous, anxious and/or irritable
