insidious onset;

hyperhydriasis, headaches, joint pain, macroglossia, coarsening of features, enlarged nose, prognathism, deepened voice, obstructive sleep apnoea, enlargement of hands and feet

what does acromegaly increase the risk of

A

hypertension,

impaired glucose tolerance/ insulin resistance,

osteoporosis

colonic polyps/ cancer

IHD (ischaemic heart disease)

cerebrovascular diseases (hypertension also increases the risk of this)
