It contains all licensed drugs used in the UK clinical practise
When can we use unlicensed drugs
If the disease in the uk is rease and the lisenced drug has a shortage
What is a off lable use
Prescribing medicine for use outside the terms of its product license

What things do we need to know about drugs
Prescribed Non prescribes Dose, frequency, and duration Timing of the last dose Method of adminstration Patients knowledge of medication
Therefore what questions can we ask a patient in their drug history
What is the dose
How do you take it
Why was it given
How often do you take them
Any other medication: inhalers, creams, drops and injections
Do you take any medicies not prescribed by you doctor
Do you have any allergies
How can you examine the the way the patients takes medieine give examples of inspection
You can examine:
- puncture sites on the skin
- injection site for insulin
- inhaler technique
- pathches on the skin
How can we assess adherence/compliance by direct methods
- directly observed therapy
- measure drug levels in the blood or urine
- ingestible pill sensors
How can you measure adherence/compliance by indirect methods
