nursing theory: explains phenomenons and is a lot broader
what is a metaparadigm?
the way a professional discipline looks at the world… a set of concepts or ideas that is important to the discipline of nursing
what is a paradigm?
a pattern of systems or beliefs about science

global (broadest)
midrange (more specific)
descriptive (describing)
perspective (very specific)
